TheBlanc Boutique Hotel

Located at the other end of Jonker Walk, TheBlanc is easy to find.  If you come from start of Jonker Walk where Hard Rock café is, just walk all the way to the other end.  Many eateries around.

A beautiful 2 storey white exterior, this hotel is just 2 months old.

Just 2 months old, TheBlanc is ideally located.

Everything is new and functional.  The room is also painted white.  It is very clean.  Hope the management can maintain it.  Despite its location at the ever busy Jonker Walk especially weekends where there are night bazaar going on, we were not disturbed by the noise.

Writing table and a chair provided

We book the en-suite standard twin room with 2 single beds at MYR198 per night.  No breakfast.  Though room has no window, we did not feel any claustrophobic.  Size of the room is not small.  A small fridge, deposit box, a kettle, a TV with 14 different channels. Complimentary bottled drinks for the 2 days we stayed.

Safe deposit box

Complimentary bottled drinks daily provided

Open concept of cloth hanging.  Not a bad idea. Card system is used for the door locking.  Wifi speed is acceptable.  Most important of all, there is no  lingering bad odour of cigarette smoke in the air-conditioned room.

Open concept cupboard

Bathroom is big for a 15m2 room.  Rain shower head with cold and hot water.

Bathroom is big and clean

Modern wash basin

Bed is comfortable.  However, I found the pillows a little soft for me.  No big issue.

Comfortable beds

Reception service is courteous.  Need to collect MYR100 as deposit which is refundable.  Check in and check out is fast and easy.
