KL February 2016

Another CNY holidays.  We were here for 5 nights from 8th to 13th February 2016.  For the first time, I decided to fly to KL after having a very bad experience last year on the bus transport.  For this festive period, we paid SGD100 per person using Tigerair as the departure time suited us.  45 minutes later, we landed in KLIA2.

We boarded the Skybus from level 1 to take us to KL Sentral.  RM11 per head.  Took about an hour.  For comfort and half the time, there is the KLIA Ekspres which will cost RM55 per head.

The bus that we took last few years to 1Utama has undergone a change.  It is still at KL Sentral.  Bus number is  800 RapidKL bus.  The bus stop is located at the front of Nu Sentral.  Waiting time is about 30 minutes.  Fare is RM2.50.  Take about 45 minutes if there is no major traffic congestion.  Quite a comfortable ride.  So was the bus to Midvalley Megawall.  I think it has moved to Pasar Seni bus terminus.

My thoughts:
KL is flourishing but still need refinement.  Notice that there are now more beggars and homeless people in the streets compared to last year.  What is more disturbing is the some of them are young and able-bodied.

I can see there are sheltered linkways construction going on.  This is a good sign.  There are also new MRT lines project going on.  Another promising outlook.

Some of bus stops have LED time display of bus schedules.  Very useful.  Hopefully there will be bus route schedule at bus stops in future.  I am baffled why LRT ticket machine cannot accept RM10 note !
