Hotel Paloma Inn Review

Booked a triple en-suite room for 2 nights (10/2 – 11/2/2016) with breakfast at SGD120.38 (tax included).   It has very positive reviews.

Entrance to the lobby.  It is typically a Chinese-owned.  The family does not live there.

Reception area.

Computer for guest to use.

The location is good. If you are coming using the KL monorail, the nearest station to alight is Imbi. From here, it is about 10 minutes walk.

It is just behind Swiss Garden Residences connected to Hotel Swiss Garden.

If you are using the LRT (yellow line), alight at Plaza Rakyat station. You will pass Pudu Sentral and an overdue abandoned construction site. Walk toward Hotel Swiss Garden.

Chinatown and Bukit Bintang shopping area are within walking distance.  Nearby is the very popular VCR, the hip coffee and cake café. The famous Salang guesthouses are also around in this area.   I like the area because it is quiet and clean unlike the overrated Jalan Alor which is at the other side of the road, about 5 minutes walk away.

Somehow, I can feel the homely vibe of the guesthouse here.   It is clean and well maintained. A small garden with beautiful blossoms adorn the small café area and front porch.

Check-in was fast. Service was friendly and warm. Need to pay RM50 deposit which is refundable upon check out.

The room though small is adequately fine for 3 of us. 3 single beds which we prefer. Bed is comfortable and clean.

Towels are provided with 3 complimentary bottles of water.   Toilet/Shower is clean with strong water pressure.

A safe deposit box is also provided in the room. Electronic door card system. Wifi was not stable.  Air-con was functional throughout our stay. TV provided. Daily cleaning service.

Sufficient cloth hooks for guests

Breakfast was served in the front porch of the inn.

For the 2 days, we were served with roti prata, fruit and some cakes. Simple but adequate.

Considering the price, this is a good for value stay especially for family.
