Daytrip – Arashiyama (7th November 2015)

Due to time constraint, we were unable to visit Arashiyama the last time we were in Kyoto.  This time, I made a point a must-visit place in our itinerary.

It was very easy train ride from Kyoto station – took the JR Sagano Line and alighted at JR Saga-Arashiyama Station.  About 30 minutes ride.

As expected, Arashiyama is a very popular tourist attraction, hence the crowd was unbelievable.  It was very  crowded.

From JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, we walked along a narrow street lined with souvenir and snack shops before reaching the World Heritage Site – Sogenchi Garden / Tenryu-ji  Zen Temple
