We stayed at Ibis Styles Sapporo for 4 nights from 2 Nov to 6 Nov 2015. Triple room with attached bathroom and breakfast included at about SGD124 per night. This was a prepaid package, hence it was a good deal. No regret staying here.
From JR Sapporo station, take the Nanboku line and stop at Nakajima Koen station (SGD2.20) (about 6 minutes). The hotel is about a 2-minute walk from Exit 1. Coming out from the Exit 1, cross the road where Lawson convenience store is and walk straight all the way.
To my surprise, the room is adequately big. The size of most hotels room is small in Japan by comparison. 3 single comfortable beds with all the normal hotel accessories except there is no safe deposit box in the room. Toilet is clean. Housekeeping done daily. Wifi is strong and free. A TV and a small fridge.
Breakfast is comprehensive with Western and Japanese food. I noticed there were groups staying here too. Not a issue as the breakfast area is big. I never missed the potato salad during breakfast.
Nearby are many cafes and restaurants. We actually walked to Susukino area where the action is. Very vibrant area with lots of shopping, eateries and bars. About 10 miniutes walk.
Do not miss the Ramen alley if you like ramen. It is actually a nondescript building with about 10 ramen shops. No fanfare here. Small and squeezy place. Order – eat – leave.
