Taroko National Park 2012

We took the train from Taipei Main Station to Hualien station. About two and half hours ride. It was the local train ‘Chu Kang’. The Taroko Express train ‘Tse Chiang’ was fully booked.

Taroko National Park entrance.

This was the van that took us (9 people) around in TNP.

Shakadang Trail or Mysterious Valley Trail. We took more than 2 hours to complete the whole trail(to/fro).

Jagged rocks along the path

Mr Li, the driver/guide of our group. He is an incessant talker who only stops when taking his lunch.
We had to go through this man-made tunnel which was dark and wet but quite safe.

Another tunnel to pass throught. The engineering work here is amazing.
